Inrate and Governance & Values Launch Strategic Partnership to Deliver Independent ESG Stewardship Services Across the DACH Region
Zurich, Switzerland / Rastatt, Germany June 2026 – The Swiss-based sustainability data and ESG ratings firm Inrate and the Germany-based stewardship specialist Governance & Values have announced a strategic partnership to deliver integrated engagement and stewardship services to institutional investors across the DACH region.
The partnership combines Inrate’s sustainability analytics and double materiality ESG expertise with Governance & Values’ deep capabilities in corporate governance, fiduciary stewardship, and stakeholder engagement. Together, the firms will provide institutional investors with an independent, and outcome-oriented stewardship offering tailored to the DACH market, combining integrated engagement services with digital stewardship infrastructure to support efficient management, monitoring, and reporting of stewardship activities across portfolios.
As part of the collaboration, Governance & Values will lead engagement execution, including planning, issuer dialogue, and coordination activities. Inrate complements this with comprehensive ESG stewardship capabilities, including proxy voting, structured engagement programs, proprietary sustainability data and analytics grounded in a double materiality framework.
The partnership responds to growing demand from institutional investors for scalable and measurable stewardship solutions amid increasing regulatory expectations and stakeholder scrutiny. Investors are facing mounting pressure to demonstrate transparent, credible, and effective stewardship outcomes while navigating evolving frameworks such as the EU Shareholder Rights Directive II (SRD II), the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), and national stewardship standards.
Saurabh Srivastava, Managing Director at Inrate, said:
“Investors across the DACH region are moving beyond compliance-driven stewardship towards engagement that delivers real-world impact. This partnership combines Inrate’s sustainability data depth with Governance & Values’ governance expertise to offer institutional clients something that has been missing in the market: an independent, outcome-focused stewardship platform built for the region, not adapted from a global template – a trusted regional alternative in an increasingly complex and regulated stewardship landscape.”
Dr. Catherine Marchewitz, Managing Director at Governance & Values, said:
“Effective stewardship requires both robust ESG intelligence and meaningful issuer engagement grounded in governance expertise and market understanding. By combining Inrate’s sustainability analytics with our stewardship and engagement capabilities, we are creating a strong independent platform.”
The collaboration expands institutional investors’ access to ESG data, ratings, benchmarking, and stewardship services through a unified platform. Inrate currently serves more than 100 institutional clients, while Governance & Values also brings established relationships across the DACH region.
