The Russian invasion into Ukraine has reignited the debate on how to assess the sustainability of companies doing business with or under repressive regimes. There are many different ways in which a company can be associated with a repressive regime and it is therefore necessary to approach this matter in a differentiated way. This article reflects our rationale and approach on assessing companies associated with repressive regimes.
