How did you hear about Inrate and what convinced you to choose Inrate?
Bpifrance began estimating the carbon footprint of its portfolio in 2020. Inrate was recommended to us as a data provider for carbon intensities of major counterparties. The primary advantage of Inrate data for us was the transparent and consistent methodology behind the sectoral proxies, allowing us to differentiate between upstream and downstream emissions.
In which services were you initially interested, and has this evolved as you became more familiar with our offering?
Initially, we used Inrate mainly for the annual estimation of our portfolio’s carbon footprint. However, Inrate data are now increasingly utilized internally as a reference in various prospective and planning exercises. For the upcoming years, we are interested in the expanded coverage offered by Inrate.
Can you highlight how Inrate has helped you?
In addition to their high-quality product, we particularly appreciated the accessibility of the commercial team. The fact that Inrate is backed by research and has a connection with the academic sphere is a significant advantage for us. We especially valued Inrate’s willingness to connect us with researchers to address some of the questions that arose from using their data.
