Redefine has been recognised as a 2025 ESG Top-Rated Company by Morningstar Sustainalytics, which is a testament to our leadership in ESG excellence. This year, Redefine is the only South African REIT to achieve all three prestigious badges, and notably the only local REIT to make the Global 50 Top-Rated ESG Company list, emphasising our commitment to embedding ESG principles as a core operational imperative. The three badges are: • Global 50 Top-Rated ESG Company • Regional Top-Rated ESG Company (Middle East and Africa) • Industry Top-Rated ESG Company In 2024, Redefine received an overall Sustainalytics ESG negligible-risk rating of 6.5, which positions us 35th out of all 15,110 companies rated by Sustainalytics worldwide. This rating ranks Redefine as the 12th company globally in the real estate industry category. By integrating ESG factors into our long-term risk and return assessments, we ensure a resilient and agile response to the evolving real estate landscape. Sustainalytics' ESG methodology assesses companies on their ability to manage industry-specific risks effectively, making this accolade a significant one for Redefine. We are honoured to lead not only within the property sector but across the broader African context, driving sustainable growth and positive impact. Is ESG dead? As sustainability professionals know all too well, its relevancy continues to be actively debated in the industry and beyond. This is why we commissioned our Professional Investor DNA Survey, in conjunction with Crisil Coalition Greenwich, to explore thoughts towards ESG of over 120 institutional investors and intermediary distributors across Europe and Asia. Key findings include: ➡️ Over half of investors still consider environmental, social and governance factors as highly important when it comes to portfolio asset allocation ➡️ Difficulty measuring impact is seen as the biggest barrier to further adoption of sustainable investing ➡️ Jury out on best ways to drive positive change, with impact investing, exclusionary screening, individual company engagement and government policy & regulation among top listed At Fidelity International, we continue to believe that ESG has a role to play in our investment portfolios. Last year, we revised our sustainable investing framework to facilitate transparent and measurable integration. This year, we will continue to contribute to key regulatory developments at both a global and local level and internally, we are in the process of enhancing our engagement framework to better measure the depth and quality of our engagements against specific objectives over time. The full survey results are available in our press release (link below in my comments) or feel free to reach out to the team to find out more. #sustainableinvesting #ProfessionalInvestorDNA

intelligent, non-ideological investors who respect their customers, who understand #fiduciaryduty and do not abdicate responsibility, who seek to deliver excellent risk-adjusted returns, and who eschew culture wars as irrelevant to prudent exercise of their trade, will 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 consider #ESG data, where it adds value about risk and opportunity to portfolio construction and asset selection. #ESG "will never be dead, it will just be confined to its originally intended use as SASB defined it." recently said Jeff Gitterman. and he added: there is no such thing as "ESG Investing". indeed. investment leaders like Jenn-Hui Tan at Fidelity International and others know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. and they are holding 'em, while always seeking to review, revise, innovate and learn. it's not any more complicated than this.
